Requiem for Two Goldfish

"Scientists have discovered that a goldfish has a memory span of three seconds. I wondered how they found that out, so I asked my Goldfish. I said, ‘how long is your memory?’ and he said, ‘can you repeat the first part of the question?’” – Anonymous

So, what's the story? Is there a big fat cat somewhere with satisfied smile on his face?

No ... just before Mr Cat in Rabat moved to Rabat, a friend of ours took possession of the aquarium. Transferring goldfish & their tanks can be if-y - many fish don't survive a massive move. Gerard died 2 weeks ago and his tank-mate Ken passed away yesterday. Funny how you can get attached to the stupid things. Never knew they could actually have personalities.

Aw, that's a shame! Yeah, every living thing has a character, even goldfish. They can be nosy, brave, cowardly, bullying and even pleased to see you - especially when you have the tin of food flakes in your hand! You just can't cuddle them very easily.

*Sigh* They were lovely fish. And could do tricks too. Lovely and intelligent.
